Description
The Galaxy Light is the slim, lighter hard shell in the TOPOAK range, and the tent I picked first when planning an autumn rooftop tent road trip through the Austrian Alps. It sleeps two adults and closes down to 4.9 inches (about 12.5 cm), so it sits low on the roof.

Before you buy
Check your car’s dynamic roof load first: TOPOAK asks for a roof rack rated for at least 50 kg (51-inch) or 62 kg (56-inch) while driving. The official compatibility guide explains how to check this. The 1⅝-inch foam mattress is thin for cold nights, and like any canvas tent it needs to dry properly after rain.
